At the invitation of our Slovenian partner GSI, Livingtone Ventures and Hortilife gave a presentation for Slovenian growers who like to improve their production. The interest was huge and there was hardly enough room to welcome everyone interested in the Agraria office in Koper (SLO).
During the presentation, the enormous interest of especially young Slovenian growers to switch from the traditional open field system and low plastic greenhouses to the advanced Dutch greenhouse technology. Stimulation measures by the government make it interesting for growers to invest heavily in the coming years and it is expected that this modernization will contribute to the economy of the country. In addition, with these investments the government is trying to prevent young people to leave agricultural areas.
