Kazakhstan, as a signatory to the Paris agreements, is obliged to reduce the CO2 emissions of the country and, where possible, to compensate.
For the emission of CO2 from the coal-fired power stations in the country, the possibility of large-scale forest planting and reforestation is being looked into. Because it is difficult to obtain sufficient suitable plant material, it was decided to use the Livingstone GrowLab solution. This means that native species can be multiplied in a cheap way on a large scale.
The success of the project is determined by, among other things, the ecological plan to be implemented.
The project is expected to start in the second half of 2019.
Livingstone Ventures does all preparation, implementation and scientific guidance.
